Maxx awoke, or at least thought she did, in an unfamiliar place. A field of green and golden grass rippled with the small gusts of wind. They sky was a perfect blue with a sun of unusual behavior, changing color with each pulse of soft light. It was certainly not where she had fallen asleep that night. She stood up from the flattened patch below her and the field stretched out in all directions around her. About to panic, she heard a rustling behind her. Ready for a fight, she took a stance.
